As per the notification no LabOPSCA/2/2024-5L/2/95 dated 17th June 2025, the Punjab Government extended the permission for a further period of 1-year w.e.f. 17th June 2025 till 31st May 2026 for all shops and establishments to keep their place of business open 24x7 on all days of the year, subject to several conditions, of which major ones are as follows: -

• - One Holiday must be given to every employee in a week.
• - Employer must adhere to fixed working hours as provided under the act.
• - Employer must obtain written consent from women employee and provide transportation facility if she is required to work between 8pm and 6am.
• - Provide basic amenities like restrooms, clean drinking water etc.
• - Every applicable establishment must comply with the provisions of POSH Act.
