EPFO HAS DIRECTED ALL OFFICES TO FULLY ASSESS THE FINAL CLAIM SETTLEMENT
As per the notification No. WSU/Claim processing/2025/e-1173371/36, dated 19th Sept 2025, issued by the EPFO department, it has been noted by the EPFO department that there are instances where the final provident fund settlement is being rejected due to various reasons such as short/non-remittance of contributions by employers for certain periods or non-transfer of previous PF accounts/past accumulation etc. Hence, the EPFO has directed all their offices not to reject such claims but to ensure processing of those claims as per the provisions of Para 10.11 of the Manual of Accounting Procedure Part-IIA. Once full contributions or transfer amounts are received, the remaining balance should be paid promptly to avoid monetary struggle for Members.
