As per the notification no II(2)LWSD/441(a)/2025 dated 8th May 2025, the Tamil Nadu Government extended the permission for a further period of 3 years w.e.f. 5th June 2025 for all shops and establishments to keep their place of business open 24x7 on all days of the year, subject to a number of conditions, of which major ones are as follows: -

• - One Holiday must be given to every employee in a week.
• - Employer must adhere to fixed working hours as provided under the act.
• - Employer must obtain written consent from women employee and provide transportation facility if she is required to work between 8pm and 6am.
• - Provide basic amenities like restrooms, clean drinking water etc.
• - Every est. having 10 or more worker, comply with the provisions of POSH Act.
